Simple is better. A crispy thin crust, light hearty tomato sauce, and loads of fresh cheese makes this pizzeria a hit! I tried it once 2 days ago and had to go again today to satisfy this craving. This place is a gem with extremely friendly staff. I placed an order over the phone and the gentleman who took the order was a blast to talk to. (You could tell he enjoys his job or at least did a great job pretending!) I placed an order for a 12 inch sausage pizza and 8 wings totaling around $18. I walked in to pick up after 25 minutes and was pleasantly surprised to be greeted by the owner himself. We ended up chatting about the Minnesota Gophers and his family which was perfectly fine because they were just wrapping up frying my buffalo wings. The owner was very sincere and thankful for choosing his pizzeria. I would give the food a 4/5 but the customer service is the cherry on top and pushes it to 5/5.

Just moved into the neighborhood and was excited to find an old school pizzeria. First order was a basic sausage pepperoni cheese ten inch pizza. Called in my take out order (they do deliver but it was a nice night for a walk). The phone was answered on the first ring. Very friendly. I arrived a few minutes early. Small place. Two tables each with two chairs. One table was covered in pizza boxes. There was another chair with an old printer on it. Part of the charm. Very friendly welcome. Cost was $9. Pizza was hot after my walk home. Delicious. There is some heat. Not sure if it's the red sauce or the meat. Lots of cheese. This is the old school thin crust pizza I long for. I grabbed a menu which includes burgers, ribs and more. I look forward to trying some of the other items. Parking is on the street. Price range is in the lower range. Enjoy!

I lived out East and had some of the best pies in in US. Coming to MN I was saddened by what people try to classify as a pie. First most people think (little Caesar, pizza hut, pizza ranch) are even acceptable to be called pizza so so sad. Second you should never eat pies with a fork and knife. It took me about 6 months to find this place and have never bought another pie for anywhere else. Went to black sheep once or twice but that is not true New Haven pizza as they claim. If you want a great pie order almost anything from thier menu. My favorite is the Deli you can't go wrong. The spinach dip with fried dough is amazing the dough doesn't keep well so **don't save any for the next day** we learned the first time. Best pie hands down!!!

Don't run into many scratch kitchen pizza joints, and you can tell that's exactly what Eastside Pizzeria is. Very fresh toppings(owner was making fresh sausage when I was waiting for my order), and a perfect crust that's thin and crispy. Not too thin so it's still soft under your toppings and fresh sauce, but crispy enough not to fold over on you! Tacos are some of the best I've ever had!! Toppings come on the side too so you can make them exactly how YOU like them! Try Eastside Pizzeria! You will not be disappointed!

Great pizza! I recommend coming here for lunch or even a nice casual dinner is a nice cozy little joint my dad traveled all the way from California and went to Eastside pizza! :) He loved the sausage pizza.

Ordered take out. I could just tell the order was going to be wrong by how rude and careless the guy on the phone sounded. Two simple items and one was completely wrong. Two stars because the food is decent. Didn't expect this place to have the typical have-to-check-your-order nonsense, but it definitely does.

Pretty solid Chicago-style pizza. Hearty red sauce on top, deep dish, and lots of cheese. Prices are pretty reasonable. They also serve wings, burgers and other greasy appetizers. My brother got a burger, and it looked pretty good, and at $3 a good value. The meat looked like a fresh, non-frozen patty. They also deliver throughout the Eastside. It is mostly a delivery and takeout place, but they do have a few tables if you want to dine in.

I would give this a 3.5 stars. I ordered pizza and garlic bread from here about two nights ago and A) it took almost an hour for a plain cheese pizza and garlic bread to come about 6 blocks away from the shop and B) the pizza really wasn't that great. I L O V E D the garlic bread and the sauce it came with but the pizza had what seemed like a different sauce and honestly- it wasn't that good. I had a craving for pizza and it didn't get fulfilled. I do know that I went there for a pie a bit ago when I first moved to town and I actually don't really remember if I liked it- so I guess it couldn't be all that great.

We are the authority on this place. Not just because we ordered delivery from them the past 3 nights in a row, or because we almost ordered again tonight (almost), but because we've been ordering from them through different owners and menus for several years and there is nothing on the menu we have not ordered at least once. To start, the pizza is above average. If you only want pizza, and don't mind picking it up, I think I'd say Red's Savoy is a tad better for this style of square-cut, thin-crust ooey-gooey cheesy pie. But if you want great delivery service and a full menu of food that is just as good as the pizza, then East Side Pizzeria is the current reigning champ for Payne/Phalen and Dayton's Bluff areas. The appetizers are exceptionally good for a delivery joint. There was a serious lack of decent delivery wings (unless you're into Cora's caramel-coated wings from over on Payne Ave.) and East Side Pizzeria really has filled that void. Have you had the disgusting fatty stumps that chains like Domino's ship out as "chicken wings"? For good-sized, meaty, crisp-skinned and well-seasoned wings, we very highly recommend East Side Pizzeria (with Checkerboard Pizza on Arcade as an inconsistent second choice, sometimes great and sometimes overcooked into dry shoe leather). These wings are consistently good and they now have even more seasoning options (we got the Italian garlic parmesan wings the past 3 nights and have no shame in craving them again today). The adults here really like the spinach artichoke dip with salty parmesan crusted fry bread, and the kids love the mozzarella sticks (though really they are just like the frozen ones you can get in most restaurants... key difference is these come to your door). The cheeseburgers are also good, especially with the fried mushrooms (one kid orders these every time like it's her job). Fried tacos are a given. We consider them sides to the pizza and wings, but less fattastic households may order them as the main course. Taco Tuesday is 4/$5 and if you're really hungry you can get an excessively beefy supreme burrito for the price of 2 tacos (with about 3-4 times the meat of 1 taco). The only food we have not ordered twice were the ribs (nothing wrong with them, the sauce is just not the type we go for) and the nachos supreme (fast food nachos are tastier and cheesier). Also, the french fries are nothing special. In closing: BUFFALO WINGS. GO BUY THEM.

So, East Side Pizzeria is a great little neighborhood place, with an owner who will chat comfortably with everyone who walks through the door. The smells are incredible, and the pizza is even better: gooey cheese, thin crust, and they're not shy with the toppings. If I lived on the East Side I'd probably order from here all the time... but last night we ate in. The experience was... a little awkward. The seating was very limited (as in, seating for 4-6 in the entire place). When the pizza was brought out, there weren't plates or silverware; that's fine, it is what it is, but it made eating the gooey pizza a bit more problematic. The staff was very friendly, and as I said before, the owner seems like a wonderful guy. I'd love to eat from East Side Pizzeria again, but I would only order take-out. It's just not set up for eating in.

Tried this place on a whim after looking at the Urbanspoon reviews. Pretty outstanding pizza. The crust is thin, but it's chewy, not crispy like a cracker and not soggy and oily like some other places we've tried. High quality meats and veggies are used as well. 1 piece of sausage in every square of pizza we ate. And we really enjoyed that the green pepper and onion on the pizza were diced small. Sauce had a nice flavor also. Cheese was good, but lacked stringiness. Not that big of a deal to us. Bonus: Deep fried tacos. Almost every Urbanspoon review mentioned the tacos, so we had to try them. Did I feel like a porker ordering and picking up a large supreme pizza AND tacos? Yes. Would I do it again? In a heartbeat. All the taco fixings come on the side, so you can add what you like. FYI - they use 2 smallish wooden sticks to keep the meat in the tacos when deep-frying. They are difficult to remove without crumbling the crispy exterior. Limited indoor seating. None outside.

Pizza

Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.

Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.

Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
